Colorguardsman Handbook
The Kansas Society SAR Color Guard participates as a Color Guard and as individual Color Guardsmen in many events at Chapters, State Society, District and National Society Sons of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Revolutions, Children of the American Revolution and other patriotic societies as well as many local public events. Color Guardsmen are the most visible representatives of the SAR.
Color Guardsmen are great ambassadors for the Sons of the American Revolution;
take the opportunity to talk with one.
The Edgar E. Grover Colonial Soldier of the Year & the Ellis Spirit Award
The Edgar E Grover Colonial Soldier of the Year & the Ellis Spirit Award – This special plaque was designed in 1992 and was first presented in March 1993 to the KSSSAR member who had earned the most points in wearing his colonial uniform.
The 2019/2020 Soldier of the Year is Steven D. French-Delaware Crossing Chapter.
